Doc has performed on the Peninsula stage since 1973 and served as AFT's first Board president. The 20 works he has written or co-written for the theatre have been seen by over 150,000 people. With James Kaplan, he created the cult hit musical comedy Belgians in Heaven , which played for six seasons. Along with improvisational actor Lee Becker, Doc is also co-author of the sci-fi football musical, Packer Fans From Outer Space. When he is not performing with AFT, Doc is an associate professor at the California School of Professional Psychology, where he has won both the Master Teacher and Teacher of the Year Awards. He also teaches psychiatrists through the Medical College of Wisconsin's Door County Summer Institute. Doc's works have been published in the "Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology," “Psychophysiology," "Psychology Today," and elsewhere. He is currently completing his second CD, Where Angels Fly.
